COOKIE POLICY

Last updated: 7 September 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files placed on your device when you visit a website. This policy also covers similar technologies such as local storage, pixels and fingerprinting. Their use is governed by the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and, for visitors located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, by the ePrivacy rules and the GDPR / UK GDPR, which require your consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary.

2. Cookies used on polietica.com

This site is built on the Squarespace platform, which places two kinds of cookies.

Strictly necessary cookies — required for the site to work and for your choices to be remembered; they do not require your consent:

- crumb (Squarespace) — protects forms against cross-site request forgery — session.

- RecentRedirect (Squarespace) — prevents redirect loops — session.

- ss_cookieAllowed, ss_performanceCookiesAllowed, ss_marketingCookiesAllowed (Squarespace) — remember your cookie choices — 30 days.

- squarespace-announcement-bar, squarespace-popup-overlay (Squarespace) — remember that you closed a banner or pop-up — session or persistent.

Analytics and performance cookies — used to compile site statistics in Squarespace Analytics (traffic sources, unique visitors, pages viewed); they are placed only if you accept them:

- ss_cvr (Squarespace) — identifies unique visitors and their sessions — 2 years.

- ss_cvt (Squarespace) — tracks page views within a session — 30 minutes.

- ss_cid (Squarespace) — visitor identifier — 2 years.

- ss_cpvisit (Squarespace) — records the first visit — 2 years.

- ss_cvisit (Squarespace) — records the current visit — 30 minutes.

Third-party content — embedded videos, maps, social buttons or remote fonts may set cookies of their own provider; they are loaded only after you accept them.

Advertising cookies — none are used on this site.

3. Your consent

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline the cookies that require consent. Declining is as easy as accepting. No cookie requiring consent is placed before you make your choice, and simply continuing to browse does not count as consent. Your choice — acceptance or refusal — is stored for 30 days, after which you will be asked again. Cookies requiring consent last no longer than 13 months. You can change your choice at any time using the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of every page.

4. Browser settings

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings (see the help pages of Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge). Some features of the site may then no longer work.

5. Contact

Questions about cookies: privacy@polietica.com. Data collected through cookies is processed as described in our Privacy Policy.
